Here we go again, another start to a wonderful week! This week is BEYOND exciting for me, because we are looking forward to a vacation! I will be counting down the minutes. 

This weekend was a lot of fun for us. My husband's family had a little family reunion, which was so much fun. I will post pictures of all the fun things we did Tomorrow! I hope you all had a great weekend as well!

 This outfit is so basic and easy. I love it. I found these jeans at American Eagle just the other day, and if you haven't heard, they are having a huge sale on all jeans right now! here is the link to these jeans. They were only $30.00, such a good deal if you ask me! I am still loving this purse from Francesca's Boutique. It is so neutral, and can go with anything. They ALWAYS have the best purses, and they are all usually under $60.00. :) :)

 Yay it's Thursday again!!! :)  Happy weekend eve! 

Here are a few items I have been dreaming to have in my closet lately. The Rag and Bone Jeans are on sale, big time, and I am super tempted! The heels from Windsor are a must have. I can think of a million outfits of mine that they would go great with at the moment :). I am loving the Peplum tops lately as well. I feel like they are so flattering and feminine. I want one so bad, and I found this one at Forever 21. It is perfect! The purse is the perfect size, and I love the navy blue. I have been wanting a navy blue bag for a while and Just Fab has a lot of cute purses right now.

Anyway, have a fabulous day. It is going to be a long day of work and eyelash appointments for me!!

 These Black half leather(pleather) half not pants are one of my favs. They make such a simple outfit look so much more dressed up. I am of course wearing my favorite necklace. I feel like I wear it all the time but I am in love. Navy blue is such a great color to pop out in a lot of looks.

 This week is going by so fast for me, I cant believe it is already Wednesday! This weekend is my husband family reunion. I am so excited to have the weekend off work to relax and enjoy time with family!

Tasty Tastes.

 Okay my friends, I found two new recipes last week that I am dying over. My husband and I had some fun and thought we would try these tasty healthy dishes.

 The first one we tried was Black Bean Soup


Recipe...
3 15 oz cans of black beans, drained and rinsed
1 3/4 cups vegetable broth
1 cup fresh salsa
1/4 teaspoon ground oregano
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1 onion chopped
fresh lime squeezed in

Instructions...
 Reserve 1 cup of beans in a separate bowl, place remaining beans, vegetable broth and salsa in a blender. process until smooth, then pour into a sauce pan. Add reserved beans to mix. Cook over medium heat and add in other ingredients.

We topped our soup with fresh avocados and tomatoes. You can also add sour cream ( or greek yogurt as a replacement)


The second recipe we tried was Creamy Cauliflower Sauce over wheat noodles



Recipe...
5-6 cups cauliflower florets
8 Large garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons butter
6-7 cups vegetable broth
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup milk

Instructions...
1. Garlic- saute minced garlic with butter in large skillet. Cook for several mins or until soft.Remove from heat and set aside
2. Cauliflower- Bring water and vegetable broth to a boil. Add the cauliflower and cook until soft. Do not drain
3. Puree-Use spoon to transfer cauliflower to a blender, Add 1 cup vegetable broth, sauteed garlic/butter, salt, pepper, and milk. Blend until smooth


 Both of these recipe we so fast and easy to make. We loved both, but I have to say we went crazy over how delish the Cauliflower sauce was. So extremely healthy and good. It was so light on your belly. I could eat it everyday. Both dishes are a must try!!

 I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I can't believe it has already come and gone. I had so much fun this weekend. I had the opportunity to attend the Utah Style Icon Awards night on Saturday, with a friend, hosted by Style Lately and Beauty Glam Now. It was so fun to meet new friends and to see some of Utah's top fashion bloggers, such an inspiration. I am having so much fun blogging and even more fun following others blogs! I really appreciate all of your sweet comments on my posts and your willingness to follow along!:)

So this dress is seriously my new favorite. I bought it a couple of months ago while I was shopping with my sister and hadn't worn it until now. It is so light weight, so I need to wear it as many times as I can before summer is over. Speaking of which, I can't believe summer is almost over, so sad. My husband and I leave for California in a week and a half WOOT WOOT!! I am counting down the days! 

Which reminds me, I posted a yummy healthy recipe last week, and said I would be posting more. I tried 2 new healthy recipes last week. I will share both of them tomorrow, so be sure to check in!!

Skin Care Saturday.

My favorite moisturizer of all time...

Aveda All Sensitive Moisturizer. I have been using this moisturizer for as long as I can remember. I started using it when I was in aesthetic school at the Aveda Institute, which was almost 5 years ago! So, I obviously LOVE it.

My skin is on the more sensitive side. Not way sensitive, but sensitive enough to use products zoned for more sensitive skin. I love this moisturizer because it is SO light weight. I am not  a fan of thick moisturizers, I just don't love the feeling of a lot of products on my face. It is also aroma free, which I really like. 

If you have sensitive skin that irritates easily with your skin care products, then this would be a great moisturizer to try. I really don't think I could switch to a different product. I have been so happy with this moisturizer. My skin never feels oily or greasy when I use it. It is also so light that you could easily apply a before foundation primer after applying the moisturizer and still not feel greasy.

Just a side note, even if you do not have sensitive skin, you can still use this moisturizer if you like a non-heavy lotion. Any skin type can use this moisturizer!

   Happy Thursday. My favorite day of the week... because it is only one day closer to the weekend, DUH!:) 
 I hope everyone is having a great week so far. My week got better when I found this cutie bag at T.J Maxx on sale major! My husband thinks it is so ugly, lol. I love the hot pink though, a fun pop of color to a simple outfit.
I also want to say how much I love these jeans from American Eagle. They are so comfortable and fit like a glove. I usually don't buy jeans very often but i'm glad I found these. I would love to find a good light pair of jeans. What are some of your favorite stores to purchase jeans???
