Protein Waffles.

Today I wanted to share one of my all time favorite healthy recipes ... Protein Waffles! In my mind there is nothing better! My husband and I make them all the time, and they seriously never get old. We eat them for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

My husband and I are going to Newport Beach in less then 3 weeks and I'm DyInG over excitement. I am so ready for a vacation, and there is nothing better then being at the beach! The only downside is that it's time to get real strict with the diet. We always love to eat healthy, but we also love sweets... A LOT, so we fail on our diet plan here and there. Since we are getting so close to our trip we are trying to be super healthy for two reasons.

        1. You're literally in a bathing suit the whole trip
        2. We love to eat bad food and everything in sight on vacations:), so                 we have to lose a few pounds before hand so we can afford to gain a             few back!! ( great way of thinking right!!)

This recipe is one of my favorites because you can make it so sweet with adding some fruit on the side. I LOVE fruit. It is also high in protein so it makes a great meal after workouts, but we love it so much we eat it all the time...

So here is the recipe...

Protein Waffles or Pancakes
-6 egg whites
-2 cups oats
-1 cup cottage cheese
-Small amount of milk( we use almond milk)

You can add these things to your desire...
-Cinnamon (we always add this)
-Frozen fruit

Toppings I use
-Peanut Butter
-Honey
-Sugar-FREE cool whip
-Fresh strawberries

Toppings my husband uses
-Peanut butter
-Sugar FREE syrup
-Honey
-Coconut flakes

Extremely easy, right!? With this recipe you can make them into pancakes or waffles. I love waffles, because I like them somewhat crispy. As you can also see, you can pretty much customize them according to your liking.

If you have not heard of or tried this recipe, it's a must. Love, love it!
I will be posting more healthy recipes we love around our house a bit more the next couple of weeks to share with you some totally yummy, but healthy food to stay fit for the summer.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
